- UNIT 7: TRAFFIC Lesson 4: Communication (Time: 1 period) Period: 58 I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: learn how to ask and answer about means of transport and some strange traffic rules. - Grammar: Practise using some grammar points and vocabulary related to the topic 2. Competencies: a. General competencies: - Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work. - Access and consolidate information from a variety of sources. - Actively join in class activities. b. Specific competencies: - Asking and answering about means of transport. - Develop communication skills. 3. Qualities: - Students must love their school and be proud of their school. II. PREPARATIONS: - Teacher: Textbooks, teaching plan, teacher’s book, projector, CD. - Students: Textbooks, notebooks III. PROCEDURE ACTIVITY 1: Warm-up (5’) 1. Aim: To introduce the lesson. 2. Content: Game: BRAINSTORMING 3. Products: Students play a game by writing the names of means of transport. 4. - Teacher divides class into 2 teams and asks them to think of “MEANS OF TRANSPORTS” (even the strangest ones) Step 2: Task performance * Suggested answers: Ss have 1 min to think of the words Motorbike, bicycle, train, bus, plane, related to the topic or they can helicopter discuss with their partners Step 3: Report and discussion Each member from each team turn by turn run to the board and write one word.
