      Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV.

      Students’ aids: Student’s book, notebook, workbook.

  1. Tiếng Anh 2 i-Learn Smart Start Week: Date of teaching: Period: 1 UNIT 4: ANIMALS Lesson 1 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to gain the following: 1. Knowledge Vocabulary: duck, goat, pig, cow Structures: What's that? It's a (duck). 2. Language skills To be able to ask and say what the animals presented are called in English. 3. Time Steps/Activities Organization 5’ Warm-up • Teacher – Sing Counting numbers (1-20) song whole class ( Option 1: • Teacher – "Lucky number" game Whole class/ Divide the class into four teams. groupwork Have each team stand in a line. Prepare some cards with points on their backs from 1 to 20 and put them in a box. Have each student pick a card from the box and talk about the content of it, e.g. “There are seventeen triangles!” then get corresponding points for his/her team. Continue with the other students. The team that gets the most points win. Option 2: • Teacher – “Spin the Bottle” game Whole class/ Divide the class into the groups of five. groupwork Have students sit in a circle with a bottle in the middle. One student spins the bottle. When it stops, the student who is pointed to has to say, “Excuse me, please!” then continue spinning the bottle. Have students continue the game as the same way. 25’ New lesson A. Listen and point.   5. Have children draw their favorite animals. Child A asks: “What’s that?”. Child B answers: “ It’s a ” and child A writes down the name of that animal. Swap the roles. Once finished, the two children compare the answers. Option 2: • Teacher – “Follow the leader” game Whole class Have students line up behind the teacher and follow him/her around the classroom. Say a word about an animal and say its sound. Have students copy the action and repeat the word. (E.g. a cow - moo)
